In keeping with the idea that we don’t want to have any “Set Plans” for our trip, the discussions that Mike Prince and I have been rather abstract and more about destinations with less talk about how to get there. To date we have an idea of what we want to see on our way to the West Coast. They include, but are definately not limited to:
- Ride Route 6 in Pa
- Visit the MAPS Air Museum
- The Ernest Warther Museum
- Wright Brothers Museum (Still Researching)
- Mackinaw Bridge
- Devil’s Tower
- Mount Rushmore
- Glacier National Park
- Spokane Washington (I spent 16 years there in the Air Force)
- Olympic Peninsula National Park
- Mount St. Helens
- Eurika Ca.
Some of the other things that were discussed as we work our way south and then back east are Zion National Park, Bryce Canyon, Las Vegas, Hoover Dam, Route 66.
I imagine that this list will get much longer, and so might our trip. But ya know, you only go around once in life and ya damn well better make the best of it. So, with this short article I just wanted to keep things up to date and begin recording of our thoughts and ideas. Many things, including life, may influence this trip but when the time is right, we’ll know it.
