Today we set out on our big trip to “somewhere”. We know about our first stop and some of the places we would like to visit, but we have no hard plans.
Our day started with volunteering for the Kinetic Multi Sport Triathlon in Marsh Creek State Park in Southeastern Pa. This is something that we do often which provides funds for our chapter and provides use with a feeling of pride in supporting them.
With that all wrapped up, Mike Prince and I set off to fulfill our adventure. Jumping on the Pa Turnpike (Yuck!!), we took off west and worked our way south of Pittsburg to our first destination. We drove through West Verginia and into Ohio to the town of Dover. Pulling into a Best Western after about 7 and a half hours on the road was a relief. A quick bite to eat at Hog Heaven (… Yes BBQ!!) and we were good for the night.
Tomorrow we’ll make a quick stop at the Warther’s Museum for some interesting carvings and then west across the Mississippi somewhere.
